Dear Russians! Before the year 2000, the new century,

Today is the last time I address you with
New Year's greetings. But that's not all:
today I am addressing you for the last time
as the President of Russia.

I made a long and painful decision against
my will to resign from the post of President
of Russia. And today, on the last day
of the outgoing century, I will leave the post
of President of Russia not of my own free will.
I apologize for the fact that I alone could not rid
the country of bureaucrats and partocrats.

Many in Russia and in all countries of the world
think that everything depends on one person,
such a position is erroneous that one person
will rid the world of bureaucrats and partocrats.
I myself believed in this, that it is possible
to change the world for the better,
but I was mistaken in this.
In Russia and in all regions of the world it is
impossible to solve global problems alone.
And everything depends on the vast majority
of people and the participation of the whole people,
then you can achieve any goals and successes.
I was too naive and believed the people who are
now blackmailing me and threatening
me for the sake of seizing power, I am not afraid
of them, but I am retiring against my will.
Boris Nikolayevich Yeltsin resigned with dignity.
Under him, everything was good, everything was
for the working people.
I, Banjov Nazarali Kholnazarovich, lived joyfully
and happily and without problems.
Today we live in hell, there is nothing good
anywhere in the country.
The vast majority of workers live in poverty,
they have a penny salary and pension,
people are tired and they have no time for the holidays.
